Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Programs
In April 1994, OSHA tightened the personal protective equipment (PPE) standards. These regulations, applicable to general industry employers, mandate employers to perform assessments to determine whether hazards requiring the use of PPE are present in the workplace. Employers must provide written documentation to verify that a hazard assessment has been performed.

Enviroair can assist employers in their compliance efforts by performing a thorough site assessment and/or developing a written PPE program. Our staff will first conduct a site assessment which includes employee interviews, task and process analysis, and an evaluation of the current PPE. The assessment findings are documented and reported, outlining any potential need for additional or different types of PPE.

The information gathered during the assessment phase is typically used to develop the written program on the selection, use, care and maintenance of recommended PPE. Enviroair also has experience in delivering employee training programs, during which attendees are instructed on how to determine when PPE is necessary, and what PPE should be used. Attendees will also be instructed as to the proper donning, doffing, adjusting, benefits, limitations and maintenance of their PPE. Safety Program Audits
